No. 11 - A conversation with my guides as I tuned in for guidance on Boken's, our beloved dog's, final day…

My Guides: Oh our love… (they're smiling)
 
Me: Why are you so happy?
 
My Guides: Because this is a beautiful thing…
 
Me: How is it beautiful? This feels awful… devastating… heart-wrenching…
 
My Guides: But you’re stetting him free… as he was always meant to be.
 
Me: But if he was always meant to be free then why is he here with us now? Why did her ever come through and incarnate in this physical form if he was always meant to be free?
 
My Guides: To remind you… He is your reminder…
 
Me: My reminder of what?

My Guides: That it’s all so much more than you can feel, see, sense, hear, and see with your human senses. You know this. You say this yourself always. You’re learning the very truths you teach, our love.
 
Me: But why does it feel so bad? Why does it feel like I’m taking something away from him by making this choice?
 
My Guides: Because you’re taking something away from yourself… it’s not him who is losing our love, it is you… and that feels like separation.. it feels like pain…
 
Me: It’s excruciating…
 
My Guides: We know, our love, we see you… you are not alone in this.
 
And to say goodbye to him is really to say hello to the greatest truths of this life that you’ve always known.
 
He is your greatest teacher…

Love is about the selflessness to do for another what is best and in highest service of them .. even if it’s the hardest thing we must do to ourself. True love is selfless. It is unconditional. It extends past the barriers of human desire and thought. It’s infinite. It’s endless.
 
Unconditional love isn’t grounded in this physical reality… that’s why true, real, unconditional love always guides us back to something we can’t quite put into words. It’s ineffable. It exceeds spoken word or the ability for the human mind to comprehend.

Me: This all makes so much sense, thank you. But my heart is still struggling to make this decision and feel grounded and empowered in it. I need to know this is in highest service of Boken. I need to know I’m doing what’s best for him from a place of unconditional love and I feel like I’m taking something away from him by doing this…
 
My Guides: You are taking nothing away from him, you are taking something away from you... that is the pain you feel. You are giving him life again. You are giving him freedom.
 
Me: Dnd how do i know that's what his soul wants...?
 
My Guides: Connect with him... tune into him now, let him speak to you, our love....

Me: My sweet Boken, can you come through to me? On a level beyond this human form? Will you connect with me on a soul level, my sweet angel...?
 
Boken: Oh mom, I’m always here. I will always be here.
 
Me: I know you will be. What do you need right now, my love? What choice is best for you?
 
Boken: It’s not my choice to make. It never was about me making a choice. This choice is yours. It’s for the two of you to make. It’s your choice … you chose it long ago. Because of what this choice will provide for you. How it will support you on your own journey.

Me: I don’t fully understand, though. Because my understanding is that your soul has choice and desire and will know when your life is complete and you’re ready to move on, beyond. Is that not true?
 
Boken: No, it is. But my soul can choose to move on whenever I desire. I could have made that choice many moments before now. Last night. Last week. I chose to stay. To give you this gift of choice..
 
Me: It feels like a burden, a weight…
 
Boken: Ah, but you are learning, healing, growing through it. It feels heavy because you’re moving through it. But this choice, as hard as it may feel is also going to set you free, mom.
 
Me: Boken, I love you so much in this physical form and I don’t want to lose you.
 
Boken: But that was always the promise we agreed to. xx And you’ll never really lose me. Just open your sight wider and you’ll see we’re all right here together always.

Me: Is today the day?
 
Boken: If you feel that it is… find peace in your heart and then you’ll know.
